Why Experiential Social Thinking?
We utilize the Social Thinking curriculum developed by Michelle Garcia Winner as our theoretical foundation while also pulling from ABA, cognitive-behavioral, systemic and experiential modalities. Students have individualized plans targeting improved executive functioning, flexible thinking, the spiral of social success, bullying prevention, perspective taking, problem-solving, conversation, friendship, anxiety and anger management skills.
- Social, emotional and behavioral assessments and treatment planning.
- School functional assessments, trainings, consultation and advocation.
- Individual, family, multi-family, sibling and group psychotherapy.
- In-home behavioral and parenting modification plans.
- Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) experiential groups and team building workshops targeting social success.
- Presentations and workshops on bully prevention, social skill techniques, sibling and parental support.
- Coordination of care with school professionals, educational and psychological diagnosticians, psychiatrists and primary care professionals.
